Como Living - Be Well advertorial

COMO Living Magazine in Columbia, Missouri, approached Stephens College design students with the challenge of designing an advertorial section. This design was chosen as one of two finalists to be considered for the final design.

This special advertising section, originally called "Healthy Living," was reimagined with the target audience in mind. The average subscriber to COMO Living is a middle-aged, college-educated woman with an income of $100,000 or more. This woman cares about her health because she is too busy to be sick. She cares deeply about her family, thus highly values her health and expected lifespan. She is also an active member of the community and seeks to support local businesses.

The name was reimagined to "Be Well," because it subtly urges the audience to think about their well-being and encourages them to patronize the companies advertised. Soft and deep colors were used to evoke feelings of calm, peace, and good health. The badge was hand lettered for a human element in the design, and the fonts were chosen for their sophistication.
