This "play date" with design prompted students to create a new brand to fill a missing niche in the marketplace. Inspiration came from blindly drawing a stuffed animal out of a bag and using the creative process to ideate and explore the possibilities. The deliverable for this project were: a branding sheet, print ad, digital ad, and a brand "wish list" of ways to promote the new company.

Snake Bites are bite-sized treats that a cause a severe reaction in the consumer - they are plagued with terrible nightmares so they cannot get a good night's sleep. They were designed to be bought by an individual to give to their worst enemy as a way to sabotage their life. The elevator speech is listed below:

Snake Bites are for the ambitious and power hungry. 

 

For the sneaky ladder-climbers who aren’t afraid to make enemies. Enemies can be dominated. Domination comes from Snake Bites. These delicious, “home-baked” treats are the perfect “peace-offering” for any nemesis that needs to be utterly destroyed. Once eaten, the effects stay dormant until the victim goes to sleep. Then, they are kept up all night from terrible nightmares, temporarily breaking their psyche so they are rendered useless the next day. 

 

Sabotage them before their presentation, their party, their big break.They’ll never suspect you, the sneaky snake.
